In collaboration with the Sole Sisters Project, Victoria Hicks from the Resolana Project, went into the Dallas County Prisons conducting a series of writing workshops. These workshops allowed these women to reclaim their voice by giving them an outlet to reflect on where their shoes have been, where they are now and where they envision themselves to be after they are released from prison.
This workshop has been a self reflective journey towards rehabilitation and towards the self empowerment of these women that embodies the purpose of the Sole Sisters Project. These writings have given women a chance to be heard but also a better understanding of their strength and the hope that will carry them into an improved life.
We are glad to call these women true Sole Sisters! A tremendous Thank You to Victoria Hicks and the lovely ladies at the Resolana Project.
