I was on a lively panel at @Indie Meme’s showing of Pakistan’s Oscar consideration of the powerful and poetic film MOOR . My panel colleagues Jim Falk of the World Affairs Council and talented actor Hameed Sheikh were delighted when Jami Mahmood Raza was Skype into the packed theater from India to answer the audience’s questions. This cinematic feast tells the story of the tragic decline of the Pakistani RailRoad system because of individual greed and deceit. Told through the struggles between a father and son who finally find their moral pulse through the strong Pakistani women in their lives.
At last night’s showing there was no shortage of beautiful Indian and Pakistani women expressing themselves with great shoes.
