Comments from Viewers at an Unlocking Doors Re-Entry Screening
A powerful film that reminds the viewer that female inmates, regardless of their crime, are simply people like the rest of us with struggles, regrets, hopes and dreams. I highly recommend the film as a terrific tool for educating those who interact with this population on a regular basis – law enforcement, corrections professionals, social workers, teachers.

Everyone in the criminal justice system should see this film.
I just got out of Dallas County Jail 2 weeks ago and this is EXACTLY what I needed to see. Very uplifting!!!! Thank you forhaving hope and providing help for people JUST LIKE ME.
Sharing these stories helps us connect to individuals to understand the large issues.
I so appreciate these brave women sharing their stories. I have witnessed the power of art therapy. Excellent movie, such strong women.
Thank you for sharing this incredible and moving movie. Wow! What a film & the ladies stories!!
This is really good!!! Helping women who have low esteem…. this will be very encouraging Powerful movie! I love the artworkand the stories. Wonderful film!
I must admit from a male perspective this film was so inspiring because these ladies were able to tap into the verystrength that they never knew they possessed until after going through the shoe art program. It was Authentic, Real& Heartfelt.
The mutuality of “shoes” can reach across all demographics. My 91-year-old mother, with zero criminal justice involvement, willunderstand and be supportive!
It was awesome! It’s great introspection with the ladies!
Very powerful. Breaks my heart to hear the stories BUT brightens my spirit and heart to see their
determination to overcome the challenges facing them – as mothers, daughters, sisters, wives, women.
