I just heard that Nora Ephron passed away. I feel so sad. I was just thinking about her as I was figuring up the costs of haircut, manicure, pedicure, waxing and the list goes on.
Ephron always captured the reality of our lives in her honestly humorous approach. Her earlier writing felt like she distanced herself from the Feminist Movement. And thanks to her ex-Carl Bernstein, she joined the ranks of leadership in the movement.
She made us laugh at ourselves as we took stock and moved on. She achieved success in screenwriting and directing. Her movies were stories that touched the our core.
Everyone still quotes “I’ll have what she’s having.” We have lost a wonderful talent -filmmaker, director, producer, screenwriter, novelist, playwright, journalist, author, and blogger.
