When we realized that Rem Koolhaas, designer behind one of our favorite shoe brands, UNITED NUDE, had built the newly constructed Winspear Opera House in the Dallas Arts District, we were elated. We were so inspired, in fact, that we pranced off to the Arts District to photograph United Nude’s Mobius shoes inside the Winspear.
However, when we emailed the OMA to get in touch with the architect, we were informed that there are actually TWO Rem Koolhaases–Rem Koolhaas, the architect, is Rem D. Koolhaas, the shoe designer’s uncle!
We still think our pictures are pretty cool though–the architectural shoe, Mobius… with its uncle, the Winspear.
