This has been one thrilling journey since I first contacted Director and Wingspan Theatre Exec. Director Susan Sargeant. After a weekend of showcasing SHOE CONFESSIONS at the Festival of Independent Theatres I am still wearing my red stilettos. Opening night had me pinching myself. I couldn’t believe this was all real. The theater was packed. The actresses were great, the set looked sophisticated and the audience was with totally engaged. Susan’s creativity shined on that stage. The second day, the actresses were hotter than the 100 degree temperature outside. The audience roared with laughter. By the way it attracted another full theater.
After the play, Women were sharing stories in the lobby. And they didn’t stop. They were emailing me at 1 am in the morning. I love this project. It is giving a voice to women. And don’t we all love our shoes.
