In my weeks at Media Projects, I have learned new strategies to navigate the emerging social media world and the new wave of filmmaking, one that cultivates an interactive audience. The Sole Sisters project has given me a crash course in the art of both personal and digital networking and has also taught me three important life lessons: 1) A woman’s shoes can speak volumes about her soul; 2) Never underestimate the value of community; and 3) Learn from everyone you meet.
